The 3 day First Aid at Work course was split up into comprehensive segments, and with the small class size it meant we received close trainer supervision and ample opportunity to practise the practical elements of the course.

Testament to the excellent training must be that, less than a month after qualifying, I had to attend a casualty at the roadside, and my calm, efficient actions led the paramedics to question whether I was actually an off-duty medical professional.
