As UK lockdown begins to ease, we all hope that the working world will return to normal as soon as possible. At Sustain, our diverse range of services has been impacted to varying degrees since March.
Our classroom based NEBOSH courses in Environmental Management and in Health & Safety at work had to be postponed, both in Moira, Northern Ireland and in Gosport, Hampshire. We are currently finalising September 2020 dates to recommence classroom based NEBOSH training.
In addition, we are working hard to develop an online option for clients to access our teaching on the Certificate in Environmental Management and the Health & Safety Award. In coming weeks, clients will be able to purchase the applicable NEBOSH course from our website and access our online tools to work toward the qualification from their own homes.
Similarly, our face to face training in First Aid at Work has been on ice pending developments in government policy. We are very much looking forward to training clients again in their own premises, or at our Moira base, in First Aid and Emergency First Aid. HSE has provided extensions to First Aiders’ certifications in the UK during this time, to reflect the exceptional circumstances, and to ensure that employers have continuity in their First Aid cover.
Our specific training in Manual Handling and COSHH will be available again at client premises, or our own venues in Moira and Gosport, from later this month.
As environmental consultants, our site based and desktop environmental services are available as normal. We are continuing to work on a range of waste management, contaminated land and planning cases, and providing expert witness input for the legal profession in relation to cases involving environmental law.
We are still available for onsite sampling, analysis and classification of wastes, soils, surface water and groundwater for permit/licence compliance, planning applications, contaminated land investigations and legal cases.
